This webinar will identify the indications, limitations, and the application of TIPS in patients with cirrhosis and variceal bleeding. It will also demonstrate the differences between rescue versus pre-emptive TIPS. This activity is intended for hepatologists, gastroenterologists, interventional radiologists, fellows, trainees and others involved in management of patients with portal hypertension.
Upon completion of this activity, a participant should be able to:

• Identify the indications, limitations and the application of TIPS in patients presenting with variceal bleeding
• Demonstrate the differences between rescue versus pre-emptive TIPS
